Towne Square at Suitland Federal Center in Prince George’s County, Maryland is a dynamic, mixed use, development that will revitalize and redefine the Suitland area. It will include of 221 single-family attached homes, 538 multi-family units, 137 senior homes, 150,000 square feet of retail space. It also will feature a 50,000 square-foot planned Cultural Arts and S.T.E.M. Center with six distinct parks, including a Central Park, dog park and fitness park.
For years, community leaders faced numerous roadblocks in their efforts to develop Suitland, an important, but neglected commercial and transit hub in Prince George’s County, Maryland. When they called CJR, everything changed. With CJR’s leadership and expertise, Towne Square is being created with the first-ever Public Private Partnership for the County and is the largest project ever undertaken by the Redevelopment Authority. It was cited by the Washington Business Journal as one of the top twenty development projects in the DC Metro area. The buildout is being led by Development Manager Harold W. Johnson, II, managing partner of CJR.
Sustainable and Forward-thinking. Towne Center is the first direct Fiber-To-The-Premises (FTTP) and 5G-ready neighborhoods in the state of Maryland. It is one of the first in North America to be identified as a sustainable and resilient SITES Platinum development and planned LED ND international certified green neighborhood.
